I’ve had several occurrences where my wife or myself have orders things and there’s been NUMEROUS times I get a notification that my package is out for delivery then minutes later another one saying the package couldn’t be delivered because of some excuse. If it’s not a tiny package on a perfect sunny day the delivery driver won’t even get out the car. I have it all on camera and it sucks to know someone’s driving around with my stuff all day lying about delivering it while I’m busy working a full time job all week that has me 50+ miles away from the building they’re gonna be so generous and hold it for me at. Not to mention the mail for someone else’s house entirely that gets left on the ground infront of my mailbox I then have to go return. So who’s the real mailman here because you suck sir. Terrible customer service if I could leave a more vulgar and lower star review I would. Thanks.

I have unfortunately had a couple negative experiences with this post office. I understand that this is a rural delivery system that defers from the service that you receive inside of a city. However, I still feel the need to state what I have been through when dealing with these people. The first: When we first moved up to Maple Falls, there were several days where we did not receive mail (this was after we had already changed our address and had previously received mail and our mailbox without a problem). I am signed up for informed delivery, so I knew that there were several pieces of mail, time sensitive documents, we were waiting the arrival of that did not get delivered. It wasn't just a day, not even two, but almost five days of no mail. Then we received the email that our mail was being held at the facility. So, we (my husband and I) went down to the post office to see what had happened. We explained the situation to the man behind the counter, who viewed us in a rather uninterested way that felt like he was annoyed that we were even there. We were there during the morning, and it was not busy at all. The man said that the person stopped delivering mail that day, because "it got dark". He didn't explain further. I am not familiar with rural delivery, so I don't know if that is something done, not delivering after dark, but then he stood there, looking at us really awkwardly, and silently, as if he were waiting for us to leave. We then had to ask for our mail, as if it were not obvious that we were there to pick it up, and he said it's already mixed in with the other mail for redelivery, despite the email stating that the facility was holding it back. We tell him this (once more), and he says, "well I wouldn't even know where to start looking, soooo..." Then proceeded to stand there waiting for us to leave, again. It didn't feel welcoming, it felt like we were an utter bother for asking for the mail that was said to have been held back. Mind you, there were time sensative documents we were awaiting. The man was very unhelpful, and very unprofessional. If I could limit my one stars to him specifically, I would, because I've had no problems with the ladies who act very politely and professionally. The second, the one that brought on the review: I came home from work one day to find my package and my mail on my porch. Completely ruined, due to rain. It hadn't been clear for several days, and the let up of rain had been brief and intermittent. I don't know if this person was trying to be kind, because they thought we were home, but the fact of the matter is that mail does not go on someone's porch, especially after I had been warned that the mail people do not get out of their vehicles to drop off mail at a house mounted mailbox or through a door slot. This warning was from one of the ladies working inside the post office when we first switched our address, easy to adhere to. We were not home that day. We work in burlington. An hour drive away. So we arrived home late at night to a package that was, thankfully, dry due to the wrapping by the manufacturer of the box, and completely ruined mail, which was once again, important documents. Additionally: I frequently receive mail that is not ours and other people frequently receive mail that is not theirs. If it weren't for the goodness of our neighbors, some of our mail would have gone missing. You can always tell it's them and not the mail people, they put the mail on the door seal. I don't know if it's the delivery person's prerogative to make sure that the home address matches the mail, or if the people in the post office who sort the mail and put them into bunches do it incorrectly. Needless to say, someone needs to be doing their job better, because unfortunately you can't just constantly rely on others to get your mail. We've already been (and will keep going) to many neighbors houses, near and far from our own house, to deliver it mail that's not ours. But. I don't get paid to deliver mail. They do. Please DO BETTER! This should not be a consistent problem.
