- RJRachel JuneDec 30, 20214.0I'm leaving five stars because the people that work here have been here for years and work very very hard and they're usually very nice despite the stress of their job. Working for post office is not easy. Ever heard of 'going postal'? Look it up if you haven't. As for the other reviews for people are saying the place looks run down, etc.... it's in downtown Kent - a very historic place where buildings are still very old from older eras - this includes this post office. It has a antique, vintage, old era vibe to it and I personally leave it gives it character. Another thing I'd like to point out is you can go on the USPS website and pre-print your labels yourself and when you go in you don't have to stand in line you can just drop them in the Dropbox on the counter and they will scan them in. I've been doing this for years and all my packages have always made it to the destination. The only thing I can agree with is that it does need updated services such as a place to order stamps or it would even help if it had one of those kiosks where you can check in your own package and scan it and drop it this would help them a lot. But don't bash the workers or the building because they work hard and downtown Kent needs to have this post office.
