- BHBen HayhurstDec 8, 20251.0Once again the Elk post office fails to deliver a package that was out for delivery. This time the tracking told me that my driveway or door was accessible. Funny, I was home all day and had UPS and Amazon deliver packages. So I called the office, and was told that the driver could not find the package in the car and that marking the driveway or door as not being accessible was his only option. That’s BS.

- CBCorrie BechtoldNov 28, 20181.0Why is it so hard for the carriers and postmaster to just do their job? We went for an entire week not receiving any mail. I went down to the post office and left my name and phone number for the postmaster to call me about the issue and it took me filing a complaint with USPS directly before I ever received a phone call from her. When packages need to be delivered, the carrier doesn't even get out of the vehicle to see if anyone is home, just leaves a notice in the mail box. I was home the entire day and never had a knock on my door! I went online and rescheduled a redelivery and put the notice in the mailbox asking for redelivery. The carrier didn't even have the packages on the day I requested redelivery. Again, I had to go to the post office to talk to the postmaster. The postmaster said she even saw the scheduled redelivery but then said she missed the packages because she thought they had been picked up! Why would someone schedule for redelivery but then come in and pick them up instead?! It has been nothing but a headache with this post office, carrier, and post master!

Both items were small envelope packages from Amazon. On the note it does not say anymore information as to why it could not be delivered, just that in 3 days I can pick it up at the post office. Very frustrating experience.
