- SSScottMar 31, 20251.0So the chelan post office has been closed for a week so far because it is having a new roof put on. Great!. This 24/7 open post office has locked entrance for this week and left signs on the entrance to pick up mail and packages in the back parking lot. OK. The problem they apparently never considered is that they never even thought to take any of the mail out of the PO Boxes the day they locked the entrance doors and hand that mail out in the back lot. They left everyone's yellow package cards inside for a week so far and failed to even realise this. They are nice people , but common sense is rare these days.
