  How you respond to this will dictate whether or not this incident is escalated to the Postmaster General. Yesterday, I came in to get two packages for general delivery. One had arrived earlier that day, and the other arrived on August 24th. Both were packages ordered from and sold by Amazon. Both packages had tracking and were verified by the deliverer to have been left at the front desk. I asked for my packages and literally spelled out my last name, but she embarrassed herself dramatically by claiming that there were no packages for me. I pointed out why that was unlikely to be the case and asked her to look again, and she tried to gaslight me with various excuses. I showed her the Amazon app and she finally looked again, and what do you know, there WAS a package for me (of course, it was one of the ones she already looked at... Remember, I had literally spelled my last name out for her). That package was the one that had arrived yesterday. I asked about the one that was delivered on the 24th, and she tried to gaslight me into believing that it might have been left outside the front door (even though that would mean that the Amazon courier lied, and since she demonstrated that she's inept at her job because she looked at my package more than once without realizing it was mine... Again, AFTER I had literally spelled out my last name for her... I'd have to be foolish to believe her over the Amazon courier who said that it was delivered inside). There was a package in the general delivery area that looked like the exact size of the item that I'm expecting, and frankly I'm wondering if she knew that the package was mine and was lying about it not being mine just to spite me (since I did demonstrate her to be embarrassingly inept in front of other people in the line... Again, she somehow looked at that package more than once before realizing it was mine). Sadly, this is a pattern of behavior with other employees too (although not to the same degree of failure). About a month ago, I had a screen protector that I was expecting. The tracking info said it had arrived, and I went to the post office a few days after the delivery date, and the guy claimed that he couldn't find it. I waited another week, went back and still, "couldn't find it". Third time's the charm I guess, because eventually (a few weeks later) he was like "oh wait, here it is" and handed it to me (therefore, it most likely was delivered when the tracking said it had been and had been there the first two times I had been looking for it). In his defense, I used the word "package" and it was a slim-type mailer so I understand how that may have confused him if he was having a bad day or was really sleep deprived, but I specified that it was a screen protector, and it's a bit unbelievable that he'd be low-IQ enough to not know what kind of a "package" to look for. It's amazing how employees here can look at packages with my name on it and act like they haven't seen a package with my name on it. Because I know I won't be compensated for my wasted time, I expect a written apology (via a reply to this review in acceptable), and if I don't get one, this will be escalated to the Postmaster General. Frankly, it's outright weird and is objectively unprofessional that that lady yesterday didn't apologize for making such a large error. You obviously don't get to exclude basic customer service etiquette just because you have government protections that most businesses don't have.

  I WILL BE MAKING A NEW COMPLAINT NOW ON BOTH OF YOU! Employees Of the USPS Are strictly prohibited from parking in Federally Protected handicap spots. Ur so done! And if you think that you can continue this Behavior with no consequences you are sadly mistaken!
