  I have been using Arehart Associates for the last twenty years and have been very satisfied with their service, Polite, courteous but most of all, they are a caring team. They always answer my questions in a quick matter . I highly recommend them for your tax needs. Thank you Arehart Associates for always being there for me.

  Very poor experience. I met with Jan well in advance of tax season in order to make sure I had all the information to her that she would need. I am well aware that I have a very complex tax return however showed her previous years returns and asked for an estimate of approximately how much this year's return would cost. She indicated 500 to $600. I try to provide very organized information on a spreadsheet. When I picked up my return the bill was $880. She had never contacted me to let me know it would be substantially more than her estimate. I don't appreciate surprises like this and don't like doing business with people who do things this way. Communication is key when working with a client especially a new client. She failed miserably at this. I also had a slew of new questions for her with regard to new tax law, Farm purchases, 1099 forms, and what things I may need to do to put myself in a better position for next year however for that I would have to make a separate appointment with her and there would be another fee to to cover that. I'm well aware that her time has value. After my initial meeting with Jan I have never seen her since. Her staff have been very courteous to deal with but Jan is my accountant and my expectation was to deal with my accountant. From now on, I will seek out somebody who is a bit more available and upfront about what my cost will be.
