  Whenever im waiting on a package, coming from far away it's pretty smooth sailing and fast, until it gets to roanoke, then the progress slows to crawl. I have a package that ends up setting at the distribution center for 2 days. I should be able to come and pick it up, since we're dragging our feet.

  Came in with 2 international packages and had everything filled out ready to go. One person behind the counter. Once he realized i am sending overseas he kept telling people in line behind me that it will be a long time. I responded that it usually takes 5 minutes. Once he did first shipment, he excused himself to go use a restroom. 15 mins later he came back and asked me to return tomorrow with my other shipment because he doesn’t have time to do both. It takes one form to send a package. It asks for name address and contents of the shipment. Horrible but it’s not like we have a choice.

  I always have an issue with this post office. Every worker I've ever encountered has an attitude and doesn't want to do their job! I came in on a Saturday before closing and the man had an attitude and didn't want to ship my package because they closed in 10 minutes. So I went to the self serve machine and filled out the postage and paid for it there. When I went to try to drop off the package at the desk they had already ran up and locked the doors so I couldn't drop it off and it wasn't even past closing time yet. The attitudes and customer service in this place are trash. If you don't want to work till 12 maybe get a different job or change the closing time.

  African lady at the front desk was extremely rude and disrespectful how do you get a job in customer service with such a disrespectful attitude sickening

  I adore this location for a couple of reasons: - Self service kiosk. If there’s a line at the counter, or you just want to do it yourself, you can mail packages from the kiosk. This includes label creation, printing, stamps, and etc. I did the entire process of mailing a package at the kiosk. You enter the destination, return address, measurements (rulers provided on machine) and weight (scale provided on machine). Then choose your shipping speed option/price, pay, and the label is printed! You can drop it off near the kiosk or take it to the agent (which I do to hopefully get it collected faster). Easy, simple, and you can do it yourself. - Tape station. Free tape for priority mail on the counter and regular scotch clear tape (I used it to tape on my label). If you need clear packaging tape, you will have to purchase that. I purchased some from Walmart. - Agent was kind and helpful! Prompt and efficient service. - Multiple Mail Drop off boxes for outgoing mail and various collection times throughout the day. Has later final collection time (6:30PM I believe) than other USPS locations. - Cute historical mail room display at entrance! - Plenty of parking.
