This is a Review that has to be written. When I finish this review may leave you saying, "Hummm!" Here's what happened. I went to the Post Office on Tidewater Drive in Norfolk, VA and put a (Hold) on my mail at the end of April. While in the process of moving I had to leave town because my sister was ill. I came back home on Friday the 8th of May, finished moving, cleaned my old apartment, turned in my key and went to the Post Office to do a change of address and forward my mail. After doing the change of address and mailing a package, it asked to pick up my mail that had been held. I was told I needed to go to the main Post Office on Church Street. When I got there I expected to get my mail and be in and out, but what happened has left me in a daze! lt was my turn to see the Clerk and I asked to pick up the mail I had on (Hold) and presented my ID. She left and came back to say, "The Carrier took the (Hold Card) and took all your mail on her route. "What?" "Why would she do that, I asked?" And, I don't live there anymore so how am I supposed to get my mail? The Clerk said, "The Manager is going to call her." After waiting for a while she comes back to say, "The Manger was able to get in touch with her, she does have your mail and she will bring it back, you can pick it up on Monday." I was blown away. My question was, "Why can't I go to the route and get my mail?" The final word was you can pick up your mail on Monday the 11th of May (timeline) .... I hope this wasn't the Carrier that told my neighbor when she kept putting his mail in other people boxes and he questioned her said, "I do what I want to do on this route!" That was the reason I put my mail on hold while I went out of town and because when you have any mail from financial institutions such as Checks or Credit Card info; "You never receive it." (I've already filed two reports.) Okay! So on Monday May 11th, I went back to pick up my mail and a different Clerk tells me after looking for my mail, "There is no mail here for you!" "What?" "How can there be no mail when the Carrier was supposed to bring my mail back on Friday?" She took my number and told me they will talk to the regular Carrier who is on vacation when He comes back ..... This conversation went right over my head! She keep shaking her head when I said, "Why do need the speak to the regular Carrier, my mail was on hold?" None of this I understood! Is she saying the regular Carrier came in on Saturday and took my mail? She couldn't answer that! Then, "Why are you telling me that you have to talk with the regular Carrier about my mail that was on hold two weeks ago?!!! Mind me! No one has tried to call or contact me about this situation... So I filed a report with the Postal Inspector online. The problem isn't stolen mail or lost mail because my mail was being held at the United States Post Office on Church Street in Norfolk, VA. And, why do they keep saying they need to talk to the regular Carrier? Is it because He may have taken my mail out of spite because I filed a report about checks and credit card mail that was clearly shown on my delivery mail review that I still have never received. Checks! Credit Cards, etc. "Did he take my mail knowing he was going out of town??" As we see in all walks of life on jobs, there are thieves, - some who eventually get caught and some who later become career criminals. I went back on Tuesday May 12th. This time I spoke to another Clerk. She went back herself, came back and same thing no mail! Out come a Manager name "Brittani," who takes my number again, then tries to act as if this is a normal thing and tells me, "It happened to her to!" I immediately corrected her and said, "You got your mail didn't you and she said, Yes! So, I told her maim this is not the same situation I have no mail that has been in your Post Office for over two weeks!!!" She gave me a phone number to call for another Supervisor for a Ms. Lee and all the phone does is ring... I need some help please people, if anyone can offer some real help please assist me.. I'm Blown Away! Naomi T

My package always has its last stop here and it ends up getting sent somewhere else. Apart from that i paid for priority mail and it still takes them more than a week to get to me

this place exemplifies the example of what the worse customer service could be like. imagine having an passport appt and coming in a few minutes earlier than your set time and having majority of your documents for your passport application but just missing a photo copy of your birth certificate and ID and being told by the blonde lady "well if you can run to the ups store on 21st and make it back in time for your appt i'll still do it" with the store being 10 minutes from the postal office . if this is what customer service has reached in today's society then I don't want it especially not from here. I work in healthcare and would never show a lack of basic human decency
