- RFRadient FlyerApr 27, 20261.0visited the Merrifield USPS location today (04/27/2026 around 11 AM), and the experience was mixed. The employee who assisted me, Hope, was professional, respectful, and handled everything correctly. I want to make sure she gets credit, because her service was exactly what you’d expect. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the behavior of another employee nearby. While I was being helped, this employee appeared to start recording me, which immediately made the situation uncomfortable. During a brief exchange, I mentioned that I had previously been called “racist” at this location because of my political views, and the employee responded by saying “you are” and then walked away. That kind of comment is completely inappropriate in a customer service setting. Regardless of personal opinions, customers should be treated with neutrality and respect. I’m not trying to escalate things unnecessarily, but this kind of behavior reflects poorly on the location. Again, Hope handled things professionally, but the overall experience was not what it should be.

CONS: Customer parking is poor (i.e., there are about 6 parking spaces plus 1 or 2 poorly identified accessible spaces.) Accessibility is barely minimal, outside and inside. There is 1 (ONE!) outside mail drop box for packages less than approx. 1 inch thick x 9 inches wide. SMH. That parking lot needs to be revamped to be accessible and functional for everyone. The Service desk employees are typically pleasant but seem otherwise stressed and indifferent.

The staff are unprofessional and not helpful, especially the old Asian lady with short hair who was very rude and dismissive. She did not communicate respectfully or take the time to listen to customers.
