I arrived only about 3-4 minutes late due to school pickup and came with my children. There was already a long line, and they were taking a long time helping another person, yet I was told I was not on time for my appointment. I am very disappointed with this post office. My appointment was only for a passport renewal, not a new passport application, and they told me make an appointment, I still could not get service. There should also be some understanding and flexibility, especially for parents managing children after school. Unfortunately, this was a very frustrating experience, and I would not recommend this location.

Shame on management for forcing Annandale's best letter carrier--Chuck--to submit to retraining and a new route in the same neighborhood he has been serving for 30 years! This "retraining is forced on veteran post carriers in the name of "improved efficiency", intimating inferior performance over 30 years. We, Annandale residents, have been fortunate to have him delivering for us; he has been a model to every post carrier out there: not only utterly conscientious and reliable, but one thoughtful and caring enough to worry about running out of space in the mail box of a resident out on vacation who did not bother to have his mail held at the post office. Retraining this veteran carrier is like putting a veteran general in the military through basic training demanded of recruits and novices. It is this kind of management that makes you a butt of disdain by the likes of Trump, who , as you no doubt know , has wanted to abolish the USPS- -the fact that you subject a veteran carrier to "training " that should be reserved for new carriers implicitly questions his professionalism , as if he needed corrective training after 30 years. Shame on you, questioning the integrity and professionalism of the best post carrier we the residents of Annandale have ever witnessed.

They lock the place up after business hours so you can't do any self service such as use the scale to weigh something.

I want to file a complaint about repeated issues at this USPS location near Al Shifa. I buy and sell very frequently on different platforms, so I use USPS all the time for shipping packages. I have probably dropped off hundreds, maybe even over a thousand packages over the years. Out of all those times, there were only one or two situations where a label had an issue, and even then, I am not even sure the mistake was from my side because sometimes the label was created correctly but printed outside. The problem is that whenever there is even the smallest issue, the employees at this location refuse to accept the package immediately and always make it complicated. Meanwhile, I can take the exact same package to another USPS location, use the selfservice kiosk, or even scan it myself, and it gets accepted without any problem. I have used many USPS locations across America, and I never experienced this level of difficulty or unnecessary refusal. It honestly feels like they are always looking for a problem instead of trying to help customers. I am a frequent USPS customer and rely on shipping for my business activity, so this experience has become very frustrating.
