I have consistently had disappointing experiences at The UPS Store locations in Sugar Land. The level of customer service has been far below what I expect as a paying customer.
During my most recent visit, the employee handling my transaction seemed more interested in looking around the store than focusing on me. I was standing right in front of them, yet I never felt like I had their full attention. Customer service should make customers feel acknowledged and valued, not like they're just another number being rushed through the line.
The overall atmosphere feels like an assembly line where the goal is simply to move people in and out as quickly as possible, with little regard for courtesy or professionalism. Unfortunately, this hasn't been an isolated experience. I've visited two different Sugar Land locations, and both provided a similar level of service, which makes me question whether employees are receiving adequate customer service training.
I also couldn't help but feel that the interactions were unnecessarily cold and, at times, even came across as rude. Whether intentional or not, customers should be treated with respect, patience, and professionalism.
I'm new to the area and only visited these locations because I needed the standard shipping and business services that The UPS Store offers. However, based on my experiences, I will likely look for another business that values its customers and provides a more welcoming experience.
If your concern about feeling treated differently because of bias is based on specific behaviors you observed, you could mention those details in the review. If you only have a general feeling without specific examples, it's usually more effective to describe the behaviors (such as being ignored, rushed, or spoken to disrespectfully) rather than stating that the employees were biased, since reviews tend to carry more weight when they focus on observable actions
