I’m not the kind of person who leaves negative reviews; I simply move on with my life and don’t come back again. The service here was so awful that I’m breaking that pattern for the first time in my entire life.
I by no means expect staff anywhere to be skipping around and beaming with joy- very, very few people are living easy lives right now. That being said, I’ve had more pleasant arguments than the ‘service’ I received here. The clerk was constantly glaring daggers at me, and everything she said to me was either short, rude instructions or ‘yep’/‘mhm’. I cannot overstate how obviously ticked off she was- I have never felt so unwelcome.
Being a traveller from outside of the US using an unfamiliar postage system for the first time, I made mistakes and needed to redo my shipment. I wouldn’t have had that issue if she’d asked me the questions a clerk is actually supposed to ask, or at the very least, not made me feel like asking HER a question would’ve gotten my head bitten off. On top of all that, she reached over the desk to leave herself a good review on the touch screen before I even got the chance to touch it. I’ve received very pleasant service at a different USPS location, but the best service I got here was from the gentleman ahead of me in line who kindly offered I step in front of him.
The federal building is beautiful, so by all means stop by if you’re just there to admire it. Just don’t make it the place you choose to send your mail…

One person working and trying to multi task for a whole line of people. The fingerprint machine only works sometimes. I’ve been here an hour for something that should take 5minutes. Stay away

Went Monday at 1:00 and the system was down.
Went Tuesday at 1:30 and the window is open but nobody was around. Left after 20 minutes.
Went today (Wednesday) at 1:20 and was told that the single agent on duty left for a medical appointment.
So I guess this post office isn’t always open during posted hours.
