Should have honestly called first, went to send a fax and they were out of toner. Staff was super sweet about it though.

I’m actually so upset. I shipped important mail overnight, the person helping didn’t even confirm the address, but either way I SHOWED HER THE ADDRESS ON MY PHONE, so she was looking at my phone at the address and STILL GOT IT WRONG. This is a joke, and I literally hate Fed Ex after this. Can’t wait for my refund and never use this trash service again.
UPDATE: Spoke to support + higher management. Gave me the run around and literally blamed each other for not following the correct steps. People were laid off due to delay of the package.

They charged me a repackaging fee. They charged me almost 9 dollars for it. For a small shoe package. The shoes weigh the total of 1.7 lbs. It was Asst Manager who did the transaction. I guess he gets paid a bonus for repackaging items.

*Asians Beware* Re: Assistant Manager Austin at NB Store #1744
on 6/3 I stopped in to drop off a fishing rod to be shipped. I already created a label and ensured that the tube in which the rod was packaged met all of FedEx's size requirements. I have been in the fishing rod industry for several years and have shipped literally thousands of rods. I am fully aware of size restrictions for all three of the big shippers.
The girl behind the desk took it and was very helpful.
Fast forward to 6/4, when I came back to drop off another rod, packaged *identically*.
A young man named Austin who claimed to be the Assistant Manager was behind the desk. He took my package, and instead of scanning it, he took one look at me and then immediately took a tape measure to it.
At this point I asked him, "Excuse me, is there a problem?"
At which point he said "I am just checking something"
Well that's a pretty terrible customer service response when I am standing right there in front of you wondering what is happening to my package that I just paid FedEx good money to ship.
I asked him
"Do you not believe the package to be the length I am claiming it to be?"
Keep in mind he hadn't even looked at the label yet. He took one look at me and pulled out the tape measure.
I told him that I know for a fact that it falls under the shipping guidelines provided by FedEx, and he ignored me and said "sure I understand" as he was visibly scrolling through his guidelines on his computer. At this point he was scrolling *fast*, clearly looking for a reason *not* to take my package.
After a long 5 minutes of searching he finally says
"okay then", picks up my tube and scans it in.
I have to say it was quite embarrassing to be made to stand there with other customers behind me while the "Assistant Manager" (who doesn't even know the shipping limits of his *own* store) implies that I am somehow circumventing the shipping guidelines provided by FedEx.
My only conclusion is that I am Asian and he doesn't like that. I said literally nothing else to him to make him behave this way.
The girl behind the counter the day before took my package without question, and even helped me resecure my label to it when I was having an issue.
My experience literally the next day after with the Assistant Manager Austin could not have been worse.
