Absolutely unacceptable service. I have been waiting for almost an hour just to pick up a single envelope, and it looks like the wait is going to be even longer. There is a long line at the package and mail pickup/drop-off counter, yet only one employee is serving everyone. I honestly don’t understand how people’s time can be treated as if it has no value. No one should have to spend one or two hours just to pick up a piece of mail. When the location is clearly this busy, there should be adequate staffing to handle the volume. Most people here simply want to pick up or drop off their mail or packages and get back to work and their daily responsibilities. The staffing and management of this location seriously need to be reviewed. Waiting 1–2 hours to pick up a single envelope is simply unacceptable. A very frustrating and disappointing experience.

Phew! I waited 20 minutes at the package pickup blue door after I gave the clerk the tracking #. Amazon said the my mail carrier said "Customer has requested the shipment to be held for collection. Please collect your package once available for pickup." I never requested a pickup so that was dishonest. Also, Amazon said to pick up at the post office in McKinney but there are 2! If the mall carrier decides they won't deliver your package and you should pick it up, the least they can do is provide an address of the correct post office. Hoping they get some better leadership and systems in place soon.

Do not come here for a passport appointment. I have already been here three times, and they never have their system working. They scheduled me for another appointment on Saturday, and when I arrived, the system was down again. They don’t even call you to let you know that the system isn’t working. I have to drive all the way from Princeton with a newborn baby, only to be told the same thing every time. The employees are rude and treat you terribly. Absolutely horrible place. 0 stars.

If I could give this local post office negative stars, I would. Their delivery service has been atrocious since I moved here more than 6 years ago. People in my subdivision are constantly reporting lost/missing deliveries. Deliveries will often show delivered but not actually delivered until the next day or 2 days later. Deliveries will show left at the residence when they were left in the mailbox or a parcel locker. The carrier forgets to leave the key to the parcel locker or leaves the wrong key. They have forgotten to lock the cluster box doors on multiple occasions, leaving everyone's mail completely exposed. Filing a claim is pointless because the local post office will close it, going strictly by the carrier's status update that the item was delivered. This is, by far, the absolute worst post office I have had the displeasure of dealing with.

Avoid this post office if you rely on timely and reliable shipping. In my experience, it is consistently understaffed, and because of its central location, it appears to receive an unusually high volume of small business package drop-offs each day. As a result, outgoing shipments are often delayed. The biggest issue is that staff routinely decline to scan prepaid, pre-labeled packages when they’re dropped off. In my experience, a large percentage of these packages never receive an acceptance scan at this location. Without that initial scan, it can be extremely difficult, and sometimes impossible, to verify where a package was lost or to support an insurance claim if it goes missing.
