I scheduled a passport appointment for 2:30 PM today 06/06/2026 and had the appointment confirmed for over two weeks. While on my way to the office, I noticed Google showed the location as closed, so I called the number listed online to verify. The person I spoke with was not from that specific office it was the USPS customer service line that handles inquiries for post offices nationwide. They informed me that this location closes at 12:00 PM on Saturdays and does not process passport appointments on Saturdays at all. If that is the case, why was I allowed to schedule and receive confirmation for a Saturday appointment at 2:30 PM? I never received any notification, cancellation email, phone call, or message informing me there was an issue with my appointment. The scheduling system should not allow appointments to be booked outside of operating hours or on days when passport services are not offered. This situation wasted my time, disrupted my day, and caused unnecessary frustration. Better communication and scheduling oversight are clearly needed.
