Every time I visit the Staples in Greenville, I have a great experience. I was greeted right away when I walked in, and the first associate I spoke with was so helpful with printing my UPS shipping label and explaining the most cost-effective option. I also appreciated how efficiently she directed me to another register to pay so the line could keep moving. Another associate took the time to tell me about the Staples Easy Rewards program, helped me set it up on my phone, and found coupons I could use immediately to save money on my purchase. Everyone here is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and it is clear that customer service really matters to this team. I am always treated well, and I truly appreciate the excellent service.

I was very shocked when I walked into this location yesterday to return an Amazon order. They now have bins of what appears to be Temu or Amazon returned items at the front of the store as well as the back of the store. It was very tacky looking, nothing like the classy business store that it used to be. Amazon returns are now done at register #3 and cashier for other customers seems to be at the service desk. I was highly disappointed to see what is happening at this location.

We came into Staples to get passport photos since they advertise that the photos are guaranteed to be accepted, but the whole experience was really disappointing. We were told to go to customer service, and the guy helping us just didn’t seem interested or knowledgeable at all. We’re trying to get passport photos for our baby, so we asked if he knew the requirements, and he straight up said he didn’t know anything—even though he’s the one taking the photos. Then when we asked if he could at least work with us to try and get a good photo, he let out a long sigh and said he couldn’t guarantee anything. That was pretty frustrating, especially since there’s literally a sign saying the photos are guaranteed. It just didn’t feel like anyone knew what they were doing or cared to help, so we ended up leaving. Definitely not what we expected.

Everyone working there was really nice, I even got a refund after my pictures didn't come out as expected. So this review isn't for the employees or the place itself, it's for the company. If a customer is needing pictures or cardstock printed, maybe have a printer that doesn't put a saturated filter on everything. The pictures are already edited the way they were intended. No one wants grey/yellow lettering when its suppose to be white. And it put a damper on things because these employees are trying to help the best way they can, and they dont have the right tools to fix it.

All inclusive but difficult to get someone to help you. I printed off a form and then faxed it to a location. I tried to print up double-sided menus but the setting did not allow me to verify before printing on the self-serve scanner/copier/printer/fax. I had to wait to have someone help me correct the issue and it seemed as though the workers were too busy and didn’t want to extend the courtesy of customer service. I was patient and waited to be acknowledged. I drove 47 miles just to take care of the things I needed. Customer service is not what it use to be. As I read the reviews after posting my review, it seems to be the common complaint for this location. My experience was with the printing department as well and it makes me sad because this is not the experience I was expecting after driving so far to be taken care of. My hope is that there will be customer service training for all employees. It seems as though people are becoming more accustomed to electronic interaction instead of that personal touch.
