I was also assisted beyond the front counter by a Mr. Johnny Lattimore, who answered questions for me away from the counter. To go above and beyond to provide such exceptional customer service to customers is impeccable service and I would like to say "THANK YOU MR. When I tell you he was very attentive to the services I requested during my visit, HE WAS. He waited patiently while I completed the necessary documentation for my mailing. He also professionally and patiently answered any questions I had. These acts of kindness made me feel like a valued & respected customer. My wait there was very short compared to other postal branches I’ve visited. Because of his excellent customer service and customer-first approach, I will definitely return to this postal branch and refer their services to my friends and family. - AVArthur ValleJul 2, 20262.0Older Asian lady doesn't understand the requirements for shipping knives. Telling me its near impossible to do so. "You must be an authorized entity", "must be in original packaging", "we can't help you, you need to go to UPS or FedEx". I look up the USPS rules and regulations regarding knives and I was fully compliant. Her supervisor took over once I started quoting the regulations and got it settled after an additional yet optional wrapping in cardboard though it was all sheathed and secured as per regulations. When a definition in the regulations was in question, not a single person could define the word with specificity. Then after the package was squared away, they made me check yes for hazardous materials, which again USPS does not deem secured knives as hazardous. They are restricted by their regulations but once secured they are not considered hazardous. The lack of knowledge at this location is astounding and I really hope they all get retrained on the laws.
