  am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated by the manager. Her attitude toward customers was rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Instead of trying to help resolve the situation, I felt like I was treated poorly and made to feel like my concerns didn’t matter. Because of the way my situation was handled, my mailbox was locked, and as a result, all of my mail was sent back. This has been extremely upsetting and has caused me unnecessary inconvenience. Customers should be treated with respect, especially when they are simply trying to resolve an issue. I hope management takes this situation seriously and addresses the way customers are being treated, because no one should have to deal with this kind of attitude when seeking assistance.

  I’ve dealt with several post offices over the years, both personally and professionally, and the Elsa location has been by far the most unhelpful. I understand that USPS employees are busy, but being a government entity doesn’t mean customer service doesn’t matter. Unfortunately, my experience with Maria, the postmaster, and Amanda was extremely frustrating. Both were unhelpful and, honestly, rude. I had an issue with packages that were supposed to go to Edcouch. I spoke with the Edcouch post office and we had already worked out a solution for when the packages arrived there. However, Elsa wouldn’t allow the packages to even get to Edcouch. The tracking showed they had been “scanned in Edcouch,” and according to an Elsa employee they (Elsa) were scanning them in for the Edcouch location. I went to Elsa Thursday and Saturday, and both times the postmaster was out and I was told she wouldn’t be back until Monday. I came back Monday confident that the postmaster would be more professional and helpful and that wasn’t the case. Maria refused to give me the packages or allow them to be processed to Edcouch. I even called USPS customer service, and they told me the local office could place a manual hold on the packages or that I could bring my ID in and request them. I explained this to the employees, but they still refused to help. The whole situation could have been handled so much differently. I really think the employees at this location could benefit from additional customer service training. Being busy is understandable, but being dismissive and rude to customers is not. I will be reaching out to usps consumer affairs regarding this issue and I recommend anyone who he’s a valid issue with this post master to do the same.

  If it was possible to rate 0 stars, I would. The staff is unwilling to help. The post master is never there and apparently she is the only one that can make decisions about anything. I called and talked to USPS customer service and they told me they should be able to hold my package so it doesn’t get sent back to sender and the lady on the front counter specifically told me that it doesn’t matter what customer service told me, the post master make the final decision…and she is never there. They should just close the Elsa branch or completely re-staff that location due to their complete unwillingness to help their customers.

  Hours of operation are terrible 4:15 if it was at 5 or even 4:30 it would be reasonable and it’s not like other post offices are the same I’ve been to some that are open till 5 what do they expect of people who work till 4 and they don’t even open that early I go to work at 6 there’s literally no time to make it in on top of all that is the customer service is horrible as well lady is always rude and not very helpful if at all.
