I highly suggest if you need to open a PO Box here, choose a neighboring town instead. I ordered a $213 impact drill from Home Depot, it was delivered to this post office via UPS. The front desk usps employee signed for it, but I never received the item. The post office is claiming someone broke into their parcel locker and stole the item. They never filed a police report nor did they inform me, I found out when I went to pick up the item. The postmaster not only refuses to replace the stolen item since it is their fault it got stolen by “someone else” due to inadequate security, she suggested I reach out to UPS who is not at fault whatsoever. They successfully delivered the item. The postmaster now doesn’t respond to any of my emails (do not call them with concerns, use email to keep a record of conversations) so I am having to escalate this to a federal level since it is a federal building that was “broken into”, per the attorney general. As far as I’m concerned, my item was stolen from anyone who had access to the parcel locker. Have your packages delivered elsewhere if you don’t want your items stolen. Update: I had to file a claim with my credit card for the purchase since this post office refused to replace my package that was stolen while in their possession. I also had to file my own police report, since this postmaster never reported the theft/break in. (Suspicious). Again she told me to contact UPS, so I did and they confirmed what I already knew- since the item made it to the delivery address and was signed for by a post office employee, they are not responsible. (Duh). When informed of this she now says to contact Home Depot for a replacement telling them it was stolen, ha. Now she is being petty and returning my mail that has my physical address instead of my PO Box on it- even though she DEFINITELY knows my name. Make sure you record everything you do- I will be returning my PO Box keys requiring a signature because knowing her she will say she never got them. ALSO I have my mail forwarded from this PO Box to another address and it’s been over a month and I haven’t received any of my mail yet. They are absolutely horrible in all aspects at this location.
