The postal clerk was working alone today and obviously angry. My family had a passport appointment scheduled several weeks ago. We arrived in the lobby and the clerk told me she was understaffed and we'd have to reschedule. Wish she could've taken 2 minutes to send a quick email to let us know. Hope her day got better because that anger was boiling. Luckily we have other places to go. Castroville used to be so nice now it's right up there with a cold, inefficient business and she'll just be there in the toxic environment she chose to make for herself. We call it work for a reason.

The only way I’d give this a 1 star is if they came to my house and punched me. I know they won’t because they never get out of their car. Ive been here for 13+ years and it’s gotten worse and worse and worse. Over the past year or so, Ive routinely gotten slips in the mailbox that they “tried” to deliver something requiring a signature or a package and no answer. Little do they know someone is home 24/7 always waiting for them to just get out of the car and knock. Do they? No. Cause this is the worst post office ever.

Staff are always rude! I've filled out two change of address/forward mail forms, and they STILL returned my package to sender. The mailman delivers mail around 11am at the old address, and around 1pm at the new address, but the post office marked my package return to sender at 7:40am?? I don't think they even tried to deliver it... This is ridiculous.

My experience here on 2/9/26 was by far the worst experiences I’ve never had at a post office. I came in with an appointment and the front desk lady Gloria was extremely rude and unprofessional. Her customer service made me never want to stop here again. She completely dismissed my mother and I. She made it impossible to fill out paperwork because she put a “time limit” due to her having a long line of people. It was such an inconvenience because I went into the Richland location and my experience was completely different from here. They took their time to help me out and answer all of my questions. I do not recommend stopping here, they need better customer service.

Not sure what the reason is, but they are very poor at sorting mail getting mail into the Post Ofice boxes we pay for they almost cost me my health insurance by sending something back that was addressed to my Post Ofice box and telling my insure that I didn’t live there anymore when you try to talk to them about it all you get is lip service sorry doesn’t work when you’re costing people something as important as health insurance car insurance or banking information
