  This might be the best UPS store in Austin? So many UPS stores seem understaffed, or staffed with unhappy/unpleasant employees, or are cluttered and dirty and seem overwhelmed. This location is none of that. Everyone that works here is super friendly and pleasant, and the store itself is always clean, pleasant and tidy. I'm often helped by Kitty, who is incredibly friendly and helpful. I ship stuff fairly often and this is easily the best location I've been to in town.

  Inaccurate Shipping Quotes, Expensive, Apathetic Management 6/28: Update to experience below: I highly recommend that anyone wanting to ship for less go down the street to Stor Self Storage for a quote (7401 W Slaughter Ln). I just mailed my framed print for 27% less than UPS with similar amount of insurance and transit time. FYI: Stor Self Storage is a USPS outlet offering shipping service. Todd and his staff are excellent as evidenced by 99% 5-star reviews (of 237 reviews). Experience (6/26): I normally visit this location and have received good customer service (Amazon returns) but not today. After visiting the store last week to get an estimate for an art print, bringing the framed print, my own purchased box / and packing materials for the most accurate estimate, I returned to ship it last night..all boxed, packed and taped. However, instead of the original $57, I was flatly told it would be $115! Today, I brought the 2 estimates and asked to speak to the manager for an explanation. However, they wouldn't even get up from their desk 20 feet away to speak with me. Instead, relayed messages to the teen/very young adult working the counter. Per him, the original agent didn't enter the measurements correctly. When I asked for a discount to make up for the error and bring it closer to what I was told it would be, the most I was told I could receive was a paltry 5% (equals AAA discount they'd offer anyone on the street). The reason(s) why this is experience was so incredibly aggravating is because A. Shipping is incredibly expensive and I'd spent inordinate amounts of time trying to get the most reasonable rate to send a sentimental family print to my brother who lives states away. If I'd known it was going to be this expensive, I wouldn't have bothered. Now, I can't even take $20 box or packing materials back. B. Apathetic Manager. Definitely will not using this company to ship anything I have to pay for.
