As Nashville post offices go, and there are many, I'd rank this my one of my favorites in the metro area. It's always efficient, busy but with a fast-moving line thanks to the talented employees. The postal facility is also conveniently located in the heart of Green Hills. I also have a theory that local post offices have low ratings because the only people who rate them online have some sort of complaint. Maybe my review will add a reasonable perspective.

Homeless man who makes me feel very uncomfortable with his comments is SLEEPING in front of the 24/7 kiosks and package receptor EVERY NIGHT for the last three months. I’ve called this office location and they said they’d do something about it a month ago. I’ve called the post inspector and filed two reports online. No one cares. Putting this out there in writing in case something happens to me or someone else one day. Some of us rely on using our closest USPS location in order to do our jobs. And mine in particular involves shipping packages, which I must do late at night because of my other job schedule. Believe me when I say I work hard and I don’t enjoy this experience late at night on top of my exhausting day. I used to be homeless but I was not a creep. And what I don’t understand is why sleep in front of the kiosks, why the need to be indoors when it’s beautiful outside this time of year (never had that luxury myself), and this part of Nashville is about as safe as it gets. This is a government building. I’m sick of it.

UPDATE: The manager of this location called me and was just as horrible in her leadership role as the fake lead clerk from earlier. She called to apologize, but was not specific for what, just a blanket "I apologize and will have a conversation with that employee." When I mentioned the culture of her office is rude and unqualified, she hyperfocused on the word "culture" and she angrily demanded five times "you need to explain what you mean by culture" and it became obvious that she had confused the word "CULTURE" with "RACIAL". She quickly escalated her tension, over talking me, demanding that I define culture, which I attempted to several times while she continually interrupted me, then eventually terminated the call. The CULTURE of this post office is BROKEN. Someone needs to intervene with this miserable outfit and clear out everyone in management. They are unqualified, insulting and grifting a paycheck without actual skills or qualification. ---------original review---------- The lady before me in line asked if I would go ahead of her; she said the counter clerk who was open is "the mean one". No problem, i went ahead and encountered the most absurd, rude, unqualified and unhinged behavior you could imagine. First, she told me the only way to guarantee delivery to the midwest in four days was by way of $26 special envelop. When it was time to pay, she said it was $35. I asked "what happened to the $26 you quoted me?" She she doesn't control the prices. I said "that's fine, but you literally quoted me $26 two minutes ago. What happened to the price between now and two minutes ago?" She did not address that, only asked, "do you want to send the package?" I said "I want to send it for the $26 you quoted me." She said, "You will not ridicule me" and said "I told you I made a mistake, and I also told you I'm not clerk." She said no such thing, such lies! I said "No you didn't tell me you made a mistake, you said the price is the price. And if you're not a clerk, then what are you?" She said "You will not disrespect me!" and she reached for a putty knife out of her drawer, scraped off the label, tore open the special envelop and placed my original letter on the counter for me to retrieve. Then she walked into the back room, never to be seen again. Somewhere in there, I asked to speak to the manager of the post office, and she claimed she was the manager. Was she lying again??? Turns out, yes, she was lying because I went across town to mail the same envelop and they knew of her there; they said she is indeed a discipline problem and no one likes. They also told me her technical title is "lead clerk". So she lied!!! They also sent my package for $11.95 so this woman is a liar, is unprofessional, is unqualified, and an overall horrible asset for the post office and the public.
