My experience with DHL has been unbelievably upsetting and mishandled from start to finish. What was supposed to be a deeply personal and joyful surprise for our family — sharing that we are expecting our first child — was completely ruined due to DHL’s failures, delays, and lack of care.
For nearly two weeks, our package was held in Germany with no delivery, despite repeated promises that someone would call us back daily with updates. Those calls either never came or provided no real answers. We spent countless hours trying to get information while being passed around between departments and receiving conflicting explanations. To make matters worse, DHL required us to explicitly disclose the contents of the package in order to move forward with delivery. We had to explain that the package contained two mugs and ultrasound photos inside a card — the very surprise announcement we had carefully planned for our family. Instead of handling that information discreetly, those details were emailed directly to my mother-in-law before the package even arrived at her front door, completely destroying the moment and surprise we can never get back.
The situation then escalated further with threats that our package could be destroyed if we did not comply with ongoing requests, all while DHL could not manage to do something as basic as return a phone call or provide consistent communication. The entire experience has felt careless, invasive, emotionally distressing, and shockingly unprofessional. What should have been one of the happiest moments of our lives became a stressful and heartbreaking experience because of DHL’s repeated failures in communication, customer service, and basic human sensitivity.

This business is horrible, they have been holding my package for days and tell me lies about where it is with no factual evidence or updates.
One of the worst services and they prices are high for the no service to poor service they provide, I was supposed to get my Pkg 5 days ago and they don't even have an update. Talking to customer service is also no help. Horrible experience

Ms. Deidre Y. was so helpful, patient, and kind ad she walked me through everything she was doing to make sure I understood. Made the complicated task of shipping something internationally feel like a breeze!
