I visited Staples in Hendersonville, Tennessee on May 15, 2026 at around 1:30 PM to make some Amazon returns. I asked the guy behind the counter to help me make sure my account was set up correctly to have my money returned to my bank account. He then made it clear that he was the manager and told me that was not his job. He also told me that he does not get paid to do Amazon returns, and informed me that he was having a bad day. He proceeded to berate me for putting a return in the bag before the other item, even though he never clearly instructed me on the order to do so. The customer service I received was completely unacceptable, especially from someone in a management position. I have always had wonderful assistance from other employees at this location who are not in management, which is why this experience was so disappointing. This is the first time I have ever felt the need to leave a review about a store due to the treatment I received. I do not know this manager’s name, but I am hoping that corporate can identify him by the date, time, and location of my visit.

Anytime I’ve used the printing service, I’ve always had great results, unless it was the general store manager doing them. He has either messed up my order every time or given me a hard time for putting in whatever order I’m doing. And when I go in person to place an order if it’s more complicated, he gets frustrated and basically tells me to do it online. Last time he pointed to the shelf he was building and said that’s what he was trying to do, as if him doing his job and putting in an order was an inconvenience to him. I suggest the next store manager this location has can actually do all the jobs his employees have to do.
