Has happened more than once. Some days we don’t receive mail at all but according the the USPS mail notification I receive daily, it is expected to be in my mailbox. Not impressed at all.

This morning a lightbulb went off in my head and I realized I was in the post office mailing a letter on the day I lost my keys. So, I called our very sweet post master and she said she found a set of keys. I stopped in and what do you know, she had my long lost keys. I've had those keys and key chain for 20 years. Gotta love small towns, everyone looks out for one another!
