Update: after a few days of back and forth, RXO offered a gift card for $150. Still waiting to receive it. RXO let the team go who did my delivery. The company I purchased the furniture from refunded the delivery cost and sent new furniture parts and hardware. RXO offered to sent another team to work on the furniture, but I opted to do it myself. They have since delivered the last 2 items of my order that were delayed and this time they came on time, put everything together well, put the furniture where we wanted, and hauled away the trash.
Three weeks earlier: I ordered almost $8000 worth of furniture from a company. They contracted with RXO to do the final delivery. I also paid almost $800 for white glove delivery, which meant RXO was supposed to put together the furniture, place it where we wanted it, and haul away the discarded shipping materials. They were also supposed to contact me to schedule a time and date to deliver. When you click on the tracking page, it gives you no information. They scheduled delivery with me for Tuesday, June 16. They didn’t show up. They texted me at 8:11 am on Thursday, June 18 saying they were coming between 8:30 to 9:30 AM. They didn’t come. They texted they would be there by 10 AM. They didn’t come. I called and after being on hold for almost 30 minutes, they confirmed they would come today at sometime and they would let me know the time when they wanted to and it would be a call or a text or an email, the agent didn’t know which, and reaffirmed that it was in fact, white glove, delivery. They finally sent another text late in the afternoon saying they’re going to be coming by 3:40. I raced home from work to meet them. They finally showed up at 3:38 pm, but the delivery people had no idea they were supposed to be putting together the furniture, hauling matetials away, or doing any of it. They hurriedly put together all of the furniture, all incorrectly, shoved it in my garage, didn’t place it where we wanted it, didn’t haul away all the trash, and left. I immediately contacted RXO and they said they would get back with me “shortly.“ Well, it’s been many hours and still no response. I called and was on hold for over 30 minutes and still didn’t get to talk to anyone They have ruined the furniture by putting holes where it didn’t belong, they didn’t use all the screws, they used incorrect screws in the wrong places and pieces. Parts of the furniture, such as legs and arms, are not attached correctly, are loose, or are not attached at all. They took all the extra hardware and instructions with them so I can’t even fix it. Utterly utterly terrible.
