Very unprofessional, locked doors during business hrs with nothing posted on the door to explain... confused customers backed up out the door wondering whats going on. The only employee was out behind the building doing who knows what. Parking lot full of cars. Apparently from the other reviews, this is a common occurrence at this location.

I can only get my packages on Saturday mornings, due to the fact that they close from 12 to 2pm and then again at 4pm Monday through Friday. If you have a job, there's no other way, and here lately when I get a ride there, there's messages on a locked door saying they will open up soon, signed manager. I waited for almost an hour from 3:09 pm until 4pm and no one ever opened up. And I could hear people talking in the back. I wasn't the only one waiting and we kept ringing the service bell. This Post office really needs to have more workers, and better business hours for the working people. If I could give it a zero, that would truly be my rating for it.

I have had two packages "lost" by this post office. The first one was an Amazon order. It was lost this past March. I was told it was put in my mailbox. I do not have a mailbox, that's the reason I have a post office box. I called Amazon and explained the situation to them. They graciously gave me a replacement at no charge. I went to pick it up, and guess what? They "lost" the replacement as well! Again I was told it was put in my mailbox. I explained again that I don't have a mailbox, I have a post office box. The person I was talking to said she didn't know what to do about it, and that I needed to call Amazon. Again? They are not going to replace the replacement. Something needs to be done about that post office. I'm beginning to think that packages are not lost, they're being stolen. It's a wonder they can find anything in that post office. They have mail and packages piled up all over the place. I'm always getting someone else's mail in my box. Sometimes 2 or 3 different people's. I'm going to file a complaint to USPS today. It used to be that working for the post office was a privilege, and you were proud to work there. The office staff there doesn't even wear the uniforms. Stay away from the Salem post office!!!
