- RURyan UnderwoodAug 8, 20261.0I ordered 6 items from Amazon using my Prime Account, making sure all my purchases were packaged and shipped together to ensure that no items were delayed, destroyed or damaged. USPS tracking services sent me a notification at 7:54AM this morning, Saturday August 8th, stating the carrier in Cross Hill had received my package/s. I continued to periodically check the status. The status then changed from “received” to “Out for Delivery”. I continued to check for updates while waiting for the mail to arrive. At 1:58PM, I received an alert that my packages were attempted to be delivered but were taken back to the post office for Pickup. At no point did any USPS Mail Carrier ever attempt to deliver my package/s. This was a time sensitive order and now because of this incredible lack lapse in quality of service, I will now have to personally attempt to come to the Post Office to pickup packages that were supposed to be delivered to my home! The most infuriating part is not only do I have to wait until tomorrow, but because it’s Saturday and the post office is closed on Sunday, it will be Monday before I may have the availability to take time out of my day to pick up my stuff. I’ve never had anything ordered from Amazon held for being delivered, especially without required signature upon delivery like this.

They used to be open on weekends, but now that's not even an option. I don't really see the point of having a local post office if you can never get your mail unless someone else with bizarre hours or a day off can do it for you.
