I came here in December to get my daughter her first passport and the lady who helped us could not have been more helpful or kind. I came here today and had the opposite experience when renewing mine. I was told to sit in the chairs, then they asked if I had an appointment, which I did not and that I was just there for a renewal. They told me to stand in line. I had my documents already filled out. Went to the counter and then she sent me elsewhere to get my photo taken. Then back to the counter but apparently it was the wrong one so the passport lady had to keep coming back ("but if you went here, I could have done this"). You know, it's just not clear what is to be done in there- it would be nicer if the people working there could give better directions and be helpful. Not act like I was a complete bother and should have known what do to - because well, clearly I didn't. And I guarantee most people are not sure either especially if they have not been there for passport services. So please, be kinder and explain better to the next customers what they are to do to expedite their needs.

Worst customer service ever. Had a package go missing, they found it, got like three different calls, one saying it was at the office to pickup, another saying it was out for delivery, and then another saying it was at the post office all in the same hour. I wasted my time going to the office because I didn't see anyone downstairs like they said, and was met with the rudest lady ever. Extremely condescending despite the mixup being their miscommunication, and basically just told me the most useless information ever. I still don't have the package! All of the employees here are useless and rude. The supervisor is nice at least.

If I could give negative stars, I would — a zero is far too generous for the disgraceful experience I had here. The staff member I encountered at the passport window was not just rude, and discriminating, she was openly hostile and contemptuous toward customers, behaving as though serving people was a personal insult to her. Her attitude was nothing short of appalling — dismissive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional in every sense of the word. I want to be crystal clear about what I witnessed: this was not a bad day or a minor lapse in manners. This was the kind of behavior that should result in immediate retraining — or better yet, termination. Management clearly has zero standards when it comes to how customers are treated.

If I could give this place a 0 star rating, I would. My father mailed me the title of my car through certified mailed to ensure that it got delivered quickly and safely. The carrier claimed to have attempted delivery, but I live in a complex and all the mail goes to our main office, and he never stopped by with it. We got a notification saying it would be delivered the next day, and it never did. After three days of showing up to the post office looking for it, they called the supervisor who said that it was lost and they are looking for it. Oh also, you can’t have the supervisor’s number because according to the unimaginably unhelpful “lead” at the post office….he only has a personal number. HOW can you be a usps supervisor and not have a professional number? I am furious and now I am stuck waiting for this supervisor to call me, and I am sure he never will. Where could that carrier have POSSIBLY left my package?!? Horrible customer service; some of the most apathetic and uneducated people I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with in my life.

This is a pretty bad post office, which is disappointing because considering its location, size, and historical significance, it should theoretically serve as the model for all the post offices in the metropolitan area. I’ve come here many times to try and buy stamps, and I don’t think there’s been one (1) time where they’ve had a full sheet of stamps for me to buy. They either have a half-sheet, 2-3 individual stamps, or direct me to use the kiosk, which I don’t like doing. Second, a lot of the times when I try to use the drive-up blue collection box, it’s stuffed full to the point of being impossible to even put mail into it. Finally, and perhaps most frustratingly, I had to mail something off after work one day, and dropped it in the outside blue box at 4:58 p.m., just in time for them to come out and collect it. Well, because it was an important piece of mail, I waited in my car for about thirty (30) minutes to make sure that they were going to collect it, and nobody ever came out to pick it up. So, as a result, it’s going to look like I did not mail it out in time, when in reality, I rushed to the post office to make sure I got it off in time.
The only thing that saves this office from a one-star review is that as a big fan of both minimalist and brutalist architecture, I love the aesthetic of the building. At first glance, it looks kind of ugly, but it gradually grows on you, and has become a signature part of the city’s skyline. I just wish that I could say the same about the quality of service.
While this post office might be the most accessible to most people, I would try to find a different location, even if it’s a little less convenient, if you’re able.
