- MMMelissa MyersSmallsMay 20, 20261.0I would like to express a concern regarding the Post Office located on Fort Jackson, Century Division Avenue. The posted closing time is 4:30 PM; however, it appears the operational expectation is for customers to already be out of the building by 4:30 rather than the facility remaining open and available until that time. If the intent is to stop assisting customers before 4:30 PM so employees can leave exactly at closing, then the posted hours should reflect that and state 4:25 PM instead. As a customer, if the posted closing time is 4:30 PM, the reasonable expectation is that the doors remain open and services remain available until 4:30 PM—not closed several minutes prior. Customers who make an effort to arrive before the stated closing time should still be assisted. I completely understand employees wanting to leave on time, but this is also a customer service operation, and posted business hours should be honored consistently and accurately. Please do not simply respond by restating the closing time, as my concern is specifically about closing procedures occurring prior to the posted time. If a business states it is open until 4:30 PM, customers should reasonably expect access and service until that time. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

For some reason, she continues to make snide, sassy, and rude remarks to me no matter how friendly and compliant I try to be with her. Not only is she unnecessarily nasty, she is extremely slow. It took her over 10 minutes to send off 4 of my packages. It is unprofessional and unwarranted. Is there anyone else that can help at the front desk besides her? Is it possible to move her to the back office and have a more professional, friendly person up front? My family and I dread each visit to the post office because of her.
