  I rarely leave reviews like this, but after multiple attempts to resolve this situation, I feel other customers should know about my experience with the UPS Store at Roberts Branch Crossing in Columbia. I shipped a high-dollar item to a customer and paid approximately $228 for shipping. I was not made aware at the time that a signature would be required for delivery. I completely understand the need for a signature on a valuable shipment; that is not my issue. My concern is what happened afterward. Rather than the package being held at a UPS location for pickup, it was returned all the way back to this store. I only discovered this because I personally tracked the package to confirm delivery. From that point forward, the customer service has been incredibly disappointing. I emailed the store numerous times and attempted to call repeatedly with no answer. When I finally reached someone, I was told I would receive a return call. That call never came. I then went to the store in person. The package had not yet arrived back, but an employee named Nolan assured me he would research the situation and contact me the following day. Again, no call. I have also repeatedly requested that the owner contact me to discuss how this could be remedied without requiring me to pay another $228 to ship the exact same package a second time. To date, I have received nothing—not even the courtesy of a return call. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have done business with another UPS Store in the area and have had a very different experience. I chose Roberts Branch Crossing because it is approximately one mile from my home and should have been a convenience. Instead, it has become an unnecessary frustration. At this point, my experience has left me with the impression that resolving a legitimate customer concern is simply not a priority at this location. My advice: bypass this store and drive the extra couple of miles to the Two Notch Road location. I learned the hard way that convenience means very little when there is no communication or follow-through when something goes wrong.

  Their computers are constantly down, the customer service is poor at best. Save yourself the time and trouble by going to Hard Scrabble.
