I assume the employees just don't feel like it and obviously the leadership allows that behavior. Hopefully they'll all get the opportunity to reenter the job market and find better-suited roles for themselves soon.

Someone with his attitude does not need to be in a post master position. Very nasty on the phone. If the postal service is not going to deliver packages for Amazon, they don't need to sign contracts with them.
