- PHPeter HarteJul 15, 20233.0Looking for that authentic Post Office experience? Well, the West Warwick Post Office...Delivers! (Get it?) If there is a long line then you'll wait a long time. If there is a short line, you'll wait a little less... There is no sense of urgency or anything when it comes to getting a line of people out the door. Last time I was there one employee was working the counter, and two others were talking and casually walking around. If you'd expect one or both to momentarily stop and help with the line, it wouldn't be the post office! My favorite is listening in on a long conversation about "what's new" between the one staff member and the customer while a long line to forms. It's both maddening and hysterical. You could argue for the customer having the conversation it's good customer service though. My suggestion is give yourself 15 minutes for every 5 you'd think you'd need, and enjoy the classic Post Office Experience. Who knows? This might be a thing of the past soon. And if you liked this, I recommend your next stop be one of the fine DMVs found here in RI. So authentic. 😂😭
