Went there and needed counter assistance. Went to a younger blonde woman with a heavy accent.Really difficult to understand her and asked the other worker to explain it to me again. First woman was highly offended, started getting nasty. Didn’t appreciate it.

I love the drive up mail drop boxes. Very convenient to stop on the way to work.

Place needs better decision-making oversight. Instead of wasting time and resources, my package made it all the way from Harwich, MA → South Dennis, MA → Providence distribution center → Portsmouth, RI with no issue. It was shipped Ground Advantage, just in a recycled Priority box by the sender (who didn’t realize this was a problem). Every step of the way it was scanned and processed normally. It even went out for delivery days later like a Ground Advantage package would—then suddenly someone decided it was the “wrong box” and sent it all the way back to Massachusetts so it could start over. That makes no sense. From what I’ve learned, there was absolute discretion here—this could have been delivered or the postage difference could have been charged instead of wasting time, fuel, and everyone’s effort. To be fair, the man I spoke with on the phone was helpful and polite trying to locate the package (5 star service), and the main branch staff apologized and echoed their disappointment in the decision that was made, which I appreciate. But the final decision to return the package instead of resolving it locally is frustrating and unnecessary. Based on this experience (and seeing other similar reviews), there’s clearly inconsistency in how situations like this are handled. Customers shouldn’t have to deal with avoidable delays over something that could be fixed on the spot. Hoping for more consistent, practical, and humane judgments in these decisions to prevent unnecessary waste and avoidable delays like this from happening in the future.

The women who was working at the front desk was incredibly rude and made me genuinely uncomfortable for no reason at all. I had a misunderstanding on the price of my package as well and when I brought it up she handled the situation very unprofessionally and made me feel stupid. It is honestly so embarrassing as a grown woman to be talking to an apparent teenage girl the way she did. I’m not sure her name but I know it started with an H, maybe Heather.
