  Normally, I like going to Staples, HOWEVER, today was not the case. I went in today because you got free Astrobrights paper with any purchase. So I enter the store, grab my paper and one other item to meet the purchase requirement. I go up to the register, wait in the line; so far, so good. Then I get up to the cashier, who is very nice at first. I show her the coupon on the Staples website after my items were scanned. The webpage I showed her had a barcode to scan and the promo code for the coupon. She refused to scan the code, saying I had to do it on the app. I explained in a kind fashion that in the terms and conditions, it said having a rewards account was not necessary. Additionally, I explained that my friend had come in earlier in the day, and the cashier scanned the webpage barcode with no problems. I asked her to scan the code, just to humor me, but she refused. I instead was instructed to download the app and make a new rewards account WHILE STANDING AT THE COUNTER WITH PEOPLE BEHIND ME. I tried to do this as fast as possible, but the app is very buggy and took a minute to set up a new account. I then showed her the app, and she picked up my phone and clipped a coupon for ink cartridge recycling. I was not recycling an ink cartridge that day. I didn’t even have one with me. She did NOT however, clip the 10% off any purchase coupon that would’ve actually been relevant. She then pulls up the coupon I wanted to use from the beginning, and scans it. She then scanned the EXACT SAME BARCODE I had up earlier, but on the app, as opposed to the website. I even checked the serial number afterwards , it was the same barcode. I don’t know if this is a commission play for app downloads, or how my friend had such as easy time doing it earlier in the day. Also, please add Bin Wins to this location!

  They need to update their website if they’re going to change their hours. Drove 30 minutes because they said they close at 8. They close at 5 now. Why would any store close at 5?

  We just started a 501c3 so I know absolutely nothing about printing, but the Staples employees have been beyond helpful. The price is less than the local competition and they did it store the same day unlike the other local competition Thanks for making my printing needs easy and affordable
