They won't pick up the phone I've tried for 3 days all day long. A busy signal is all you get. The 1-800 number is useless as well.

Growing up in Waterford my family’s mail carrier, Jay was fantastic. Always friendly and reliable. Now I have a place of my own but have learned, sadly, that Jay was the exception, not the rule. The current carriers and staff are, to put it simply … unmotivated. The lady at the desk, Laurie (or Lori, not sure how it’s spelled and I’m sure she’d say she doesn’t either) is condescending and useless. Can’t answer any questions or offer any information. Packages get marked as delivered, yet are nowhere to be found. No less than weekly are my neighbors and I exchanging mail that has been delivered to the wrong home. Quite simply, diligence is unheard of around that office. Customer care is nonexistent. Honestly, if you’re moving into an area serviced by this comedy show, I’d encourage you to get a PO Box in Erie or the nearest neighboring town. I wouldn’t even go in this location to buy stamps.

The people who are actually working in the post office are always welcoming and helpful. Our delivery person is lacking though. She will occasionally decide to just skip out entire neighborhood or put the letters in the box but can't be bothered with getting out of her vehicle to deliver a package. To be fair I could almost understand if we had a long driveway and the weather was terrible, But it's flat and only two car lengths long. Our entire neighborhood is routinely redistributing packages to the proper homes. Perhaps we could just have a normal person walking around...

This particular post office branch is very hit or miss when it comes to service. The afternoon staff do an excellent job despite usually being fairly busy. The morning and weekends however are another story. Not unusual to have to stand at the counter for 5 minutes or more first thing in the morning waiting for someone to come out of the back room. Dropping off packages on the weekends is almost pointless as they sit there until Monday before leaving? I dropped off packages on a Saturday morning when they opened and other packages I mailed on Monday afternoon got there first somehow to the same destination. If you live near another branch you might be better off using them especially on the weekends.
