- GSGUSTAVO SALESAug 14, 20261.0I went to the USPS to mail my documents for my work permit application. There are many documents involved, and there are different addresses where documents can be sent to USCIS. I had been told that USPS staff would help me determine the correct mailing address. Unfortunately, the employee who assisted me was extremely rude and unhelpful. She kept saying things like, “I hope they leave soon, I need to go home,” and “I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to put an address in. They don’t know anything.” Is this really the way a USPS employee should treat customers? We are immigrants and are still learning how things work in the United States. We do not know the country, the postal system, or all of the different USCIS mailing addresses. We went there expecting basic assistance and respectful customer service. Why were we treated this way? Was it simply because we are immigrants? This was an extremely disappointing experience. The employee showed a complete lack of professionalism, respect, and willingness to help. I believe USPS should take this complaint seriously and provide better training to employees on how to treat customers, especially people who may be unfamiliar with the U.S. postal system.
