  Extremely frustrating experience I have never experienced such a frustrating process trying to access my own money. I am a PNC customer currently in Germany and have been trying to arrange a wire transfer from my own account. I have now had to contact PNC repeatedly, including four separate phone calls, and I have followed the instructions given to me by four different customer service representatives on how to complete the required Single Wire Authorization Request. I followed their instructions and submitted a new request. I also sent a copy of the completed form through secure messaging. Yet every time I try to resolve the issue, I am sent back to the phone and told to provide something else — without anyone being able to clearly explain what is actually wrong with my request. I have repeatedly asked PNC to tell me specifically what is missing, incorrect, or needs to be changed. Instead, I keep getting told to call again. I am calling from Germany, so these are expensive international calls. I have also repeatedly been told that PNC “tried to call me” when I have no corresponding missed call on my phone. My number is on file with PNC. The situation became even more absurd when PNC sent me another electronic signature request, but the authentication code provided by PNC did not work, leaving me unable to access the document. These are my retirement investments and my own funds, which I need for my living expenses. I fully understand legitimate security and compliance requirements and have cooperated with them. What I do not understand is why PNC cannot simply tell me clearly what is required to complete the transaction. I am now preparing a formal complaint because this has gone far beyond a normal customer-service issue. PNC needs to seriously improve communication, consistency, and accountability. Customers should not have to repeatedly call, resubmit forms, and chase multiple departments just to gain access to their own money. Extremely disappointing experience.

  PNC recently updated their app and its runs like crud now, always problems logging in Even though I’m using the correct name and password, the app will force shutdown during transactions like me paying a credit card bill , PNC YOU NEED TO FIX YOUR APP!! There were no problems with it before then all of a sudden I updated it and soo many problems now Stop trying to be smarter than you need to be!

  Absolutely unacceptable customer service and flawed banking systems. PNC Bank hit my account with an unauthorized technical overdraft, completely bypassing standard debit safety stops, even though I have never opted into any overdraft programs. This looks like a predatory fee-generating scheme rather than a technical glitch. ​To top it off, local branch management is completely incompetent. I wasted an hour of my time at a branch only to be handed basic printouts and told "maybe it happens, maybe it doesn't." Total lack of professionalism and financial integrity. I am escalating this system failure to PNC Corporate Headquarters and filing official complaints with the CFPB and OCC. Avoid this bank if you value your time and financial security.
