I wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible mail carrier who delivers in the 10th & Federal area.
In a world where people are often quick to complain, I think it's just as important to recognize someone who consistently does an exceptional job.
Every day, he goes the extra mile. Instead of leaving our mail on the front steps, he takes the time to place it safely through the mail slot. If there's a small package, he'll often ring the doorbell so we know it's there. These aren't things he has to do... they're things he chooses to do because he genuinely cares about the people on his route.
I recently learned that he has just returned to work after recovering from a foot injury. Knowing that only makes me appreciate him even more. Despite what he's been through, he continues to show up with the same dedication, professionalism, and pride in his work.
It's easy to overlook the people who quietly make our lives better every day, but he deserves to be recognized. His kindness, reliability, and work ethic have not gone unnoticed, and our neighborhood is genuinely grateful for everything he does.
Please extend my sincere thanks to him. Employees like him are a credit to the Postal Service, and I truly hope he receives the recognition he has earned. If anyone deserves a raise or a commendation, it's him.

Very slow. The line won’t move. 5 people were in front of me and it took an hour! Come on. Put it together and be better

Closed randomly in the middle of the day for hours. There are plenty of people looking for jobs they are prepared to do

I have only lived here for two years, and I have had one issue after another with these people. A carrier was stuffing all of my mail (marked Apt 3) into the mailbox for a vacant apartment (Apt 1R) for months. The mailbox was overflowing. How hard is it to read the number on the mail and read the corresponding number on the mailbox? I had to file several complaints. I recently failed to receive the invoice for the master insurance policy for our building. I also had a passport returned from the IRS, and it showed up in my Informed Delivery, but never arrived. It's really suspicious that all of my obviously important mail seems to go missing, but I receive the junk mail. Customer service jerked me around and said it may have been scanned in another zip code, so just wait. I have used Informed Delivery for years, and that's not how it works. They then said, Oh well, no tracking number, so we're closing the case. Horrible service.
Edit: the passport showed up in my Informed Delivery again, and yet again, it is not being delivered. These people are unbelievable.

I just went to mail something important that needed a postmark today, and the clerk (receipt says #14) was so nice and helpful. I was observing as I completed my documents how she interacted with everyone else and she was the same to all. Very pleasant, nice, and quick to work with.
