  My mother recently moved to the area and had to order a new key for her mailbox. She paid for it and after over a MONTH nobody could tell her when the lock was going to be replaced. She had to go into the past office a couple times a week to get her mail. She eventually asked the one guy working the counter if he could give an estimate of when the lock will be replaced and he was extremely rude to her and tells her it'll get done when it gets done. A call was made to usps about the behavior of this man and was told it was unacceptable and it'll get escalated. Another week goes by and my mother had to go back in and this time asked for the post master. She nicely asks him if he knows when it'll be done and he grabs an envelope with the keys and slams them on the counter and walks away. So the lock was replaced and they couldn't even inform her? What kind of place has such miserable people working for them? The young female working there is so kind and sweet, she shows what true customer service is. Also the carrier who delivers the mail is amazing but the other 2 she's encountered should be ashamed and not working around people.

  USPS DECIDES WHEN AND IF YOU GET YOUR MAIL. Update:Dec 2022 - I put a mail hold on for October due to travel, and selected Pick Up upon return. I go to the post office to find my mail is NOT being held, it's all been stuffed in my mailbox. Today I found that a credit card co sent me an updated card in Oct but the cartuer RETURNED it for some reason??? Who knows what other important mail they sent back without my knowledge! 2020: I was hospitalized a few weeks and when I came home I emptied my mailbox per normal. However I got no more mail for a week so I went to the post office assuming they may have held my mail. I was told my mail was "Forwarded" (which I did NOT do), marked with a green dot they said. I was told the carrier may know more and they'd call me when the carrier was back at 4. I received no call, even the next morning so I filed an online ticket. 2 calls later I'm told they RETURNED TO SENDER all my mail for the past 2+ weeks (but not the mail I got a week ago??)! No notes received in mailbox or on my door etc.
