- SSShawnJan 27, 20261.0I am very disappointed in the service at this facility. I live in a section of Factoryville, PA that is serviced by this USPS Office and the service has been very poor. I receive the daily digest of mail I am to receive everyday and it is never what gets delivered. I have had a package that has been touring between Scranton, Carbondale & Factoryville US Postal facilities for the past week and each day it has a new type of unable to deliver reason, which makes no sense to me as my address is clearly printed on the label. I have communicated with the Post Master at this location and have been promised that he will speak to his carriers and get the service improved, but it is getting worse. I purchased a weatherproof bin to protect from the weather for my packages where the carrier usually drops them off and instead of putting them inside, the carrier either puts them on top or next to the bin, I wouldn't mind it if the carrier didn't know what the bin is for, but there is an sign that directs then to do so. FedEx and UPS read the sign and they put their deliveries inside the bin, so I don't understand why USPS doesn't; It isn't going to bite..........I promise. The poor service almost feels like it is purposely done so customers have to spend more money on a post office box just to get their mail. JUNE 2026 UPDATE: Poor Service continues and actually getting worse. My packages are still left on top of delivery box, and now I am getting my neighbor's mail, and I don't mean a letter or two. I wouldn't mind, but my number is on the box, but I guess USPS employees can't count to 15. I put outgoing mail in the box and raise the red flag, but it is still there when I retrieve my mail, I mean my neighbor's mail. How lazy can these workers get. USPS keeps raising prices and for that we get worse service. They need to revamp the entire USPS, and hire individuals that want to actually do their jobs.
