They didn't answer the telephone, even after 20 rings. I had 2 packages arriving yesterday. My street is being repaved. Package #1 gets marks "Delivery Attempted" and USPS Tracking says, "Held" at Post Office (not my local one) and the "Held" message says "at customer request". No, no one ever asked me. I am disabled and undergoing chemo with a low immune system and I am now being asked to go to the Chester, PA post office with my license to pick up my package. I went through USPS Tracking, then USPS AI chat and the to a USPS Customer Care agent. I can't just risk my life because some USPS delivery person arbitrarily decided, for me, to not queue my package for re-delivery. The USPS Customer Care agent told me to call the USPS Chester, PA office. It rang 20 times with no answer. So, I guess USPS decides that I have no say in delivery of my package. I lose money and someone gets a big box full of undelivered USPS packages to stream online as they open them. Know wonder there are so many undelivered if repaving roads results in packages going back into the USPS Chester office. Are they even staffed for that kind of volume? And, is it legal for the USPS to just decide for me that there is no re-delivery for Package #1? By the way, Package #2 was delivered yesterday by USPS. I did complete a USPS survey with all this detail, except the phone going unanswered. I did not have that information at the time that I completed the USPS survey. But, maybe, USPS Chester, PA needs more staffing? Hey USPS Quality Management, please assume process changes and proper staffing is needed to support thise processes. Sigh.
