- RGRussell GrahamMay 27, 20231.0The post office and how USPS denotes addresses is a joke and why doesn't Warm Springs have rural mail delivery? Now, no Saturday pickup, while other rural areas in Oregon--not to mention other Indian Country--get rural mail delivery and some areas get Sunday delivery. Now, the postal employee said the reason we don't get rural mail delivery is that it's the Tribes' fault. They can't reconcile the addresses in Warm Springs and people get lost. That is an outright LIE and the Postal Service needs to be held accountable for this lie. When I managed police 911 dispatch we transitioned to enhanced 911. So, there is a method to the madness of how addresses work, and WSPD, Fire & Safety, and Fire Management can find our homes. Let's not forget UPS and FedEx also deliver here in Springs. It's time the post master in charge of this office is relocated to a higher position. What a disgrace. My whole point is why should we be treated any different than any other rural community, and there is another risk, mail in voting. The point remains the postal service chooses not to recognize our address system. Mail in voting could be next.
