I asked a simple question about why customers can't use a small piece of tape to attach a shipping label without having to purchase an entire roll. I previously worked at The UPS Store, where we routinely helped customers with something this minor. Before the employee assisting me could finish answering, Noah came out from the back and abruptly inserted himself into the conversation. His tone was rude, dismissive, and completely unnecessary. There is a difference between explaining a policy and talking down to customers, and unfortunately Noah chose the latter. I ended up buying the tape anyway, but left the roll behind for other customers because nobody should have to purchase an entire roll of tape just to stick a label onto a package. The contrast between the helpful employee at the counter and Noah's attitude was striking. Customer service costs nothing. A little professionalism and courtesy would have gone a long way.
