- ALAngel LoveOct 3, 20261.0I have been shipping with UPS for years and have always trusted the company with my packages. On September 15, I shipped two very large, oversized boxes to the same destination. These were not small packages that could easily be misplaced. One of the large boxes arrived at the destination, but unfortunately, the second large box was lost. The missing box contained several important and valuable personal items, and I am extremely disappointed and saddened that my belongings are now missing. Although I purchased additional insurance coverage for the shipment, reimbursement does not replace the items that were lost or the personal value they held. As a longtime UPS customer, this experience has been very frustrating and disappointing. I expected such a large package to be handled carefully, tracked properly, and delivered as promised. I am especially concerned about how a box of this size could simply disappear during transit. Because of this experience, I am seriously considering avoiding UPS for my future shipping needs.

I don’t know how that factory gets that thing into a box, but I can say that two people rolling it up by hand and cinching it down cannot get it back into the same box. In fact it was approximately 4 times the original size. We checked Lowe’s, Home Depot, and U-haul, but none had a box big enough. Thank goodness for the UPS on Commercial. They helped us from figuring out what to do, to unloading and packing the enormous item. Many places would’ve been grouchy about the whole ordeal, but the woman who helped us was completely understanding. They lifted the whole burden right off us—figuratively and literally!
