- JSJames SteverAug 12, 20262.0I have used this company since I purchased my first house back in 2008. They had always been very professional and diligent was their efforts. I know one of the ladies I have worked with in the past had recently retired, but I would hope one person did not make that big of an impact on their company as a whole. I felt that the communication between myself and First American Title was very poor. I'm not sure if it was due to the fact that this was not a home purchase or a normal refinance, but instead a smaller second mortgage loan. The first red flag was when I was asked to print and sign some documents. Unfortunately, my printer wasn't working. So I asked to stop by the office to sign the documents. Turns out the person who made the request of me was working from home and therefore I could not sign the documents at the office. Then a few days later one of my creditors, apparently was not doing what they were supposed to do. And when I inquired as to what was going on, I was accused of accosting two separate employees at First American Titlle by their manager. Once he and I spoke, I explain that everything was done in an email, he agreed to read the emails and call me back. It has been over a week, and he has yet to do that. If I ever refinance my home or purchase a home, I do not believe I will be using first american title ever again. Considering the fact that I have use them at least seven times over the last eighteen years, it is unfortunate that I woud have to find another option.
