Awful location for anything passport related. Found a last min appt the night before for a simple passport photo. For a new passport, you must make an appt. We got there at 11a for our 11:10 appt, as we were told to arrive 10 mins early for a supposed FIVE MIN APPT. We waited in line along with everyone else doing mail related things and as we got close to the front, the older woman taking care of mail specifically (apparently) told us there was a separate line for passports. There was no where to form another line, nor a sign. There was one person at the cou ter for passports and one ahead of us. The 3-person family at the counter took the majority of the time we were there. The guy in front of us was maybe there for 10 mins. We didnt get to the counter until 11:45 ish and we left a few mins before noon. The woman doing passports first asked us for our application, to which we said, "oh no, we're just here for photos." She said a different last name that wasn't us and didnt seem to know we.were only there for photos. She basically just walked away for 5 mins without telling us she was going to get the camera. When she came out and pulled the photo background down, she didnt even call him over. Then before taking the photo, she said something odd. "This is a terrible camera, so if the colors dont come out right, you'll need to go get them redone somewhere else." My boyfriend then asked, "We'll, theyre going to be accepted still though right?", which was my question also. It was concern I ng because she right after that said, something like, "well, im telling you beforehand," which made me think she was using it as a disclaimer. 😒 umm, what?! I dont understand why youd say that. The whole reason you pay someone to do them is because the requirements for the photo are strict. Im paying for this photo with money and my time. Just do it right the first time so I dont have to come back. It was so disrespectful and dismissive. The photos were $15, about a $3 savings compared to UPS, CVS or Walgreens where you dont have to make an appt. I would absolutely go elsewhere with the blatant disrespect of our time, money and treatment. Both women working today were rude and need to be restrained on customer service skills and effective communication. We wont be going back to this location to complete our application.

There is one employee here that no matter what, will make sure that you have a hard time. I won't name names but everyone who has visited this post office knows exactly who she is. I work in a mail room, I know very well what is required for shipping with USPS, it is quite literally my job. No matter what, she always makes an issue out of it. I don't know if she gets off on doing this or who hurt her, but it's gotten to the point where if I am directed to her line, I wait for the next person. No other employee there gives me trouble the way she does, and most my shipments given to the post office are simply dropoffs I need a receipt for. Even this most basic of service, she just refuses to get done easily. In fact, the one time she seemed to be in a welcoming mood and I was the only person in line, she waved me up for service only to tell me she was going to lunch. I don't care that you have to go to lunch, that's fine, but don't wave me up then tell me you aren't helping me. It is astounding how even the most basic services are made infuriating by this one employee. I doubt this review will change anything, but I just needed to write this down somewhere public.

The passport woman was beyond rude and unhelpful. I wish I had read the reviews before going to this location. I suggest people get as much information by calling the main number for Travel.State.Gov before going to this location. I received accurate information over the phone and renewed my passport online instead. Avoid the passport individual at this location. The worst customer service experience ever! Based on previous reviews, it's a wonder she still has a job.

After paying $14.85 to retrieve the package this station was holding hostage, I called USPS to verify what clerk #5 told me - which was, of course, incorrect. 1) My spiral bound materials DO qualify to be sent at the library rate. Clerk #5 said they were not - after she had opened the box and rifled through every single professionally bound audit headed to the non-profit with her grimy hands, and even after I asked her to handle the materials with care she was shoving them back in the box carelessly. 2) The package, which was marked as "no receptacle" by USPS should have been redelivered on the next business day, which was Monday, and not returned to us, the sender. 3) The woman on the phone verified that I should not have had to pay to get my package released, but there really is no recourse to recoup my lost funds. Clerk #5 at the Waterfront station is unprofessional and does not know what she is talking about. If you get her, call the USPS 1-800 line right there and don't let her make you pay for services that you have already paid for.
