Having a functional phone system and actually answering it is not only the BARE MINIMUM for an essential government service, it’s also important for accessibility. When asked why they don’t answer the phone, employee offered no response, accountability, or even the slightest sign of compassion. We live in a bureaucratic hell.

I've been going to this post office over a decade now and not only do I still get treated like crap since they never seem to recognize me no matter how friendly I am. Now I am doing their jobs for them by using the machine where you have to scan your own QR code to get your label and then simply put it in a unoccupied basket that anyone could reach in and grab your package off the top because it is so rarely emptied of which is a serious concern considering it is a very drug addled neighborhood unfortunately. What really bothered me was I went in yesterday to simply use their machine to print out my labels put them all on my packages and put in my email every single time since no one could replace the receipt tape so I couldn't even get a receipt which made everything much more difficult. While I was doing all of this as quick as possible in case someone else needed to use the machine so my skateboard which I used to get there fell over onto the floor. Instead of asking me what happened a woman with the meanest look on her face decided to start asking me if I needed help. Not realizing she was talking to me at first because I was obviously using the machine just fine and trying to put in my email in over and over and over again so I could get the receipts emailed to me at very least I finally turned around thinking maybe she's talking to me for some weird reason and she had the nerve to irately say after I told her everything was fine "then why are you banging on the machine?!" I simply said I wasn't and that my skateboard just fell over and pointed at it. Instead of saying sorry she just said oh okay and turned around and left leaving a giant basket of unchecked mail right next to the half door that it could easily be grabbed from off the top which is where I had to leave all my packages unfortunately. Why would you just assume that I was "banging on the machine" and treat me like some insane person especially when you clearly saw that I was using the machine just fine. If you're having problems please keep them at home or see a psychiatrist while I do your job for you. Another day we're the only person I interact with is awful. I hate this town at this point. I wish I knew where to go.
