Silly us, thinking First American's nationwide presence (and offices near us) would be able to make our closing go smoothly. This office obstructed and was totally uncooperative with the First American office in the city running the transaction. This Portland office wouldn't accommodate us to do our closing paperwork, so we are stuck using a sketchy 3rd party notary at a random coffee shop. I can't believe they're getting paid for this. Stay away from this company at all costs!
