- JWJodi WrightJun 28, 20262.0This is a review of the USPS service to Mosier (it is similar to lots of small communities). There is no mail delivery in town. We are required to get a post office box. The problem starts when we are charged for the box. USPS isn't supposed to charge for a small box when they don't deliver (you can find the regulations on their site on line). Often times, when shopping on-line, we don't know how those items will ship. Amazon is a prime example. We would appreciate home delivery of our items, like most of America, but we have to wait until the window opens (10 to 5 Monday through Friday and closed for lunch 1pm to 2pm). Not at all good when perisable medication arrives Friday afternoon! When we changed to a street address for potential UPS deliveries, AND made the address changes exactly as the USPS suggested at least 30% of our orders are being returned to the shipper. USPS does NOT serve small communities well! Our behind the counter postmistress is fine.

Rarely a line but if there is it is likely just one person talking about local news with the person behind the counter. Had a po box here for 18 years. I'll miss it.
